Cage

What can I say about Cage? It has a black guy as a main character. That's one thing. But this comic is full of surprises.
File:Luke Cage.jpg
The original Luke Cage
Luke Cage's story starts off when he's thrown in prison for a narcotics rap. While in prison, he undergoes a medical experiment that gives him super strength and steel hard skin. (Where have we seen this before? hmmm...just about everywhere).

He's not a hero in the traditional sense. He only uses his powers when people pay him to be a hero. This is, of course, after they let him out of prison for no reason at all. He teams up with Iron Fist for a while, but after  Iron Fist is murdered, Cage drops the name of Power Man and goes off on is own.

An intimidating man
He also loses the blacksploitation look for a more intimidating muscle-bound man look.

Hardcore is real hardcore man. He is wearing lipstick
Now Cage's first main villain is Hardcore. This guy, who wears silver mail underneath a a purple V-cut shirt and matching purple pants, is capital F fabulous. This is Hardcore: Imagine Prince and a female Michael Jackson from an alternate universe had a baby, Michael Jackson form our universe messed around with that baby, and the baby was traumatized to such an extent that it had to speak in a southern accent for the rest of its life. Hardcore is one messed up dude who manages to screw around with Cage for around 12 issues. He also uses a chain weapon that takes down a helicopter.

He also likes shooting bazookas for no reason
Hardcore is actually involved in a nefarious plan to steal Cage's generic superpowers. But while this plan unravels, Cage faces some less cunning villains.
Was the face really necessary?
First he's hired to protect a rap concert from neo-Nazis in robot suits. Race solidarity man. But these guys are a real piece of cake, and those faces that are painted on the robots are not intimidating at all.

Tombstone, Nitro, and some dude who can jump 3 minutes either way in time
Next he faces a trio of villains with the Punisher, but these villains were hired to kidnap an associate of Cage's by Hardcore...all a part of the plan.

Is baff a real sound effect?
Yet these guys don't work well together and the time-jump guy boots Nitro out of the van in a high speed chase. More money for the other two

Ah, muscly men fighting in their underoos
Now back to that plan. It is revealed that Hardcore is working for Cage's old nemesis, Bushmaster. (What kind of name is Bushmaster? Can he control George Bush?) Bushmaster want's to steal Cage's power and he does, resulting in a fight between two half naked black men in a fortress in the middle of a mountain in the middle of an island in the middle of the ocean. (whoa)

Hardcore momentarily channels Bill Cosby
After Cage shoves an live power line into Bushmaster's face, the mastermind behind the first arc explodes, taking his fortress with him...and also the remnant's of Cage's family. Hardcore attempts to get away but...
Hardcore take's the hardcore man's way out
...Cage forces him to drive into a cliff and he dies in the explosion....and he stays dead? I have no real idea. That was Cage everybody. The hero for hire who's working overtime.
I would pay to see this band. For real.
That's all folks! See you next time. If you liked or hated what I've done here, leave a comment and come back next time
